BIOGRAPHY:  Pastor Kenneth A. Brown, Sr., Masters of Divinity

The culmination of the power of the Holy Ghost, parents, Church leaders, teachers, heritage and cultural awareness, Pastor Kenneth Andre' Brown, Sr., is:

- The fifth child and last born of Mr. & Mrs. Herbert and Henrietta Brown. 

- The proud husband of the former Phyllis Marie Daniel, Minister and the father of three sensational sons - Mr. Kenneth, Jr., Master Xavier McKenzie and Master Isaiah McKenzie.  They are the proud grandparents of one grand daughter - Kenae Elizabeth Brown (pictured above).

Pastor Brown is an Educator, Entrepenuer, Coach, Civic Leader, Civil Servant and Veteran:

- Pastor and wife Phyllis organized Kingdom Baptist Church with no charter members in 1998.  Through trial and tribulation, they now serve the community with 200 members and twelve active ministries.

- As a man of outreach, Pastor Brown has led Kingdom to provide youth services through a special partnership with the Department of Health, Charles County, providing the message of abstinence and HIV/AIDS awareness for three years, reaching 5,000 citizens with sexually transmitted disease prevention education.  Kingdom also serves as a regional institution providing inspiring monthly youth concerts which reach 200-300 youth and young adults in the Greater Washington Metro area.  Kingdom has served as a satellite education center for Bowie State University, Sojourner Douglass College and constant source of community synergy for county, state and federal politicians, Board of Education officials and the business community as a source for networking. 

- He serves of the faculty of National Bible College and Seminary (www.NationalBibleCollege.org) (National Church of God) in Fort Washington, MD where he teaches "Grief Counseling:  Learning How to Exhale; Addictive Behaviors; and Leadership Principles" to future Counselors.  He also serves as a Personal Finance; E-Commerce and Entrepeneurship teacher at Westlake High School, Waldorf, MD (www.ccboe.com/westlake).  He also serves as the Faculty Coordinator for the 50 member Westlake Gospel Choir and Gospel Liturgical Dancers. 

- Brown teaches Adult Youth Workers representing the 20 Churches of the DC Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship.  Presently faciliting a class entitled "Empowering Youth Workers:  Youth Discipleship Means Succession Planning."

- After years of providing professional counseling and business consultation to the faith and business community, Pastor and wife Phyllis established "You and Me, LLC" which provides facilitation and retreats, private and personal clinical family relationship counseling, business and personal career planning for the community. 

- He has served for nearly ten (10) years as a community youth basketball coach for Charles County and local Church leagues. 

- In the Spring of 2007, Pastor Michael V. Kelsey, State Bishop for the District of Columbia (DC) Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship appointed Pastor Brown as the State Youth Director for approximately 20 Churches in Washington DC, Prince Georges County, Montgomery County and Charles County.  Pastor Brown provides organization, Christian Education,Worship opportunities and consultation for local Church youth workers on behalf of the Fellowship. 

- In the Summer of 2007, Pastor Brown became a Certified Temperament Counselor with the National Christian Counselors of America through the Family Bible University of Baltimore Maryland. 

- As a civil servant, Pastor Brown served as a Human Resources, Equal Opportunity Assistant and Special Emphasis Project Officers for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, HQs.

- As a military veteran, Pastor Brown served as a Paralegal and Administrative non-commissioned officer for the DC National Air National Guard for seven years. 

- It is his ambition to lead Kingdom Baptist Church into the next phase of Christian Education within the next 12-24 months in the established of the "Kingdom Christian Boys Academy."  In our attempts to provide alternative education for young male students who simply require a unique learning environment.  This will be a statement of faith as a result of all that has been poured, deposited and invested into Brown from his earliest formal and informal development.

The scripture that serves as Pastor Brown's foundation for ministry is Ephesians 4:11-12 - "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."

  Minister Phyllis M. Brown

     Born Phyllis Marie Daniel, in Enfield, NC, the proud mother of three sons, Kenneth Jr., Xavier, and Isaiah, First Lady Phyllis

started out life with a humble beginning. Her family moved to the Washington-Metropolitan area where she attended the Prince

George’s County public school system. First Lady received Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior during her adolescent at the

Mount Ennon Baptist Church in Clinton, MD. There the Lord began to minister to her in a very personal way. In 1990, First Lady

and Pastor Brown continued their high school friendship, which ultimately lead to matrimony. The two were wed at the New

Chapel Church in Camp Springs, MD on April 3, 1992. It was at New Chapel that Pastor and First Lady officially received their

ministerial foundation under the leadership of Pastor William Hill. In 1996, the Browns initially received their calling to go out and

begin a new ministry. For approximately two years they evangelized in many realms. However, in 1998 they received their calling

and word from God to start a new Church in Waldorf, was executed by having the first service on Easter Sunday, April 12, 1998.

Since then First Lady Brown has helped to build Kingdom Baptist Church from no members to approximately 200 member and

friends. She has served as the Church Clerk, Deacon, Children’s Ministry Coordinator and Chair of Trustees. Presently, she serves as

the Minister heading the Women's Court Ministry, Chair for Vacation Bible School and the Project Officer for the Black Church Leadership

 Conference sponsored by Lifeway Conference Center.   At her secular employment, First Lady is an executive at a leading financial institution.
