COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1.              What’s in it for “me”? – 1.) You will have a “Personal Banker,” which means that your banking will be done directly by the Eastover  SunTrust Branch Manager upon request  2.) Free Premium Checking Account – which means no minimum balance, free checks, discounts on mortgage loans, premium/advanced rates on certificates of deposits, discounts on home equity, free online banking and a free savings account 3.)  The satisfaction of supporting your Church with the ongoing expenses of running a ministry.

2.              What’s the Catch?  Bottom line, all banks needs deposits.  It is what keeps banks in business.  The Church and those that sign up do not become “bound” to the bank or the Church.  This is simply a program that SunTrust has felt would be a good business move for them and the community.

3.              Will a Credit Check be done? This is done free of charge by SunTrust.  However, every opportunity will be extended to ensure that everyone from Kingdom gets a new account.  If it is humanly possible you account will be opened.

4.              Will anyone at the Church be able to track my financial status as a result of signing up for the program?  Absolutely not.  The program is merely a partnership with local Churches.  The Churches will have no connection with the bank’s membership records.  This would be illegal and unethical.

5.              Is there an activity requirement as an account holder?  You have to use your ATM card at least once and maintain your account in good standing (at least one ATM use/no bounced checks).  You have to make an ATM purchase no later than: Friday, August 15th, 2008

6.              How many accounts can one person/family open?  A typical family can open no more than a maximum of TWO accounts.  For example:  One account can be to open for a traditional checking account use and another for a family business or for a child(ren).  The thing to remember is that only  two accounts can be opened per family.  However, for families with ADULT CHILDREN, the adult children can open their own accounts and they would qualify for two accounts as well – on their own as an adult.

7.              Is this for checking accounts?  This is primarily for a new checking account and each account provides the opportunity to open a savings account along with the checking account - at no charge.

8.              How long does the account have to be opened?  Each account would be required to be opened until the Church receives its funds.  This will happen approximately during the Fall of 2008 (goal-9/30/08).  However, SunTrust would love to keep serving such families that sign up during this campaign.  It is our ambition that such members would feel and discern a personal benefit from opening their accounts with SunTrust and would prayerfully remain as a customer with the bank.

9.              How soon will the money be deposited into Kingdom’s account?  Contingent on individuals maintaining their account(s) in good standing, SunTrust will deposit $100 into Kingdom’s account, per the number of individuals who are in good standing. It is estimated that the funds will be released no later than Tuesday, September 30th, 2008.

10.           Can a Child/Teenager open an account too?  Yes, however it would be done through parent approval and one family could not exceed their two account maximum.  (see question 6 for more clarity).

11.           Does the person have to be a member of Kingdom?  No, anyone who would like to support Kingdom can open an account through our Church and our Church would receive the benefit.

12.           What specifically is Kingdom planning to do with the money?  We plan to place it directly into our Building Fund to build a new Church.

Please consider opening two accounts per person.  This would double our ability to acquire property and move on with accomplishing God’s Vision for our Church.
